Skilled Care
With
accommodations for 130 guests, the Skilled Care Facility at the
Villages of Wilkes offers a broad range of services under the
direction of a licensed nursing home Administrator. Housed in
a beautiful building and operating within four neighborhoods,
we offer long term care and short term rehabilitation in private
and semi-private rooms. Integral to our services are the
activities and care practices that are generated from life care
plans of choice that are completed by the residents or their families
upon admission, allowing each resident to schedule their own daily
activities rather than being on an institutional schedule.
Services and amenities
provided in the Skilled Care Facility include:
- Licensed skilled and intermediate nursing care 24
hours a day
- On-site staff, emergency call system, and security
system 24 hours a day
- Medical Director and Physician visits on-site
- Full-time Nurse Practitioner who is also a Certified
Wound Care Ostomy Nurse
- Occupational, Physical, Speech, and Respiratory
Therapy
- Furnished rooms
- Daily housekeeping, bed and bath linen service,
and personal laundry
- Individually controlled heating and air conditioning
- Medicare and Medicaid certified beds
- Daily dining options for all meals; consultation
with a registered dietitian
- Social, cultural, spiritual, and educational activities
on and off campus
- Scheduled Transportation
- Beauty/Barber salon
- Resident and Family Council, a monthly meeting with
families and residents to present new events and items of interest
