At The Villages of Wilkes we think of Assisted
Living as Traditional Living, providing a residential environment
for senior adults who need limited assistance and also wish to
enjoy their independence. With a perfect blend of good friends,
a multitude of services and the priceless sense of security, we
have designed our Traditional Living to maximize the quality of
life for each guest. We meet the special needs of our guests by
tailoring our services to provide the amenities that create life
satisfaction.
Traditional Living is Medicaid approved, and gives
you priority should you need to transfer to our Skilled Care Facility. Services
and amenities provided in Traditional Living include:
- On-site staff and security system 24 hours a day
- Medical
director and physician visits on-site
- Occupational, Physical, Speech and Respiratory
Therapy
- Wellness plans developed by staff and family
- Assistance with activities of daily living and
monitoring of medications
- Private and semi-private rooms with private baths
- Furnished and unfurnished rooms
- Daily housekeeping, bed and bath linens and personal
laundry services
- Individually controlled heating and air conditioning
- Cable TV service
- Three planned meals per day with dietary consultation
on-site
- Social, cultural, educational, and spiritual activities
- Scheduled transportation
- Beauty/Barber salon
- Private dining for guests and their families
Special Care Unit
The Villages of Wilkes provides a homelike setting
enhanced with familiar cues to help our guests meet the challenges
of Alzheimer's and other memory disorders. We have carefully
designed this safe environment to preserve our guests' independence
for as long as possible. By taking the focus off losses and
reinforcing their skills and abilities, we are able to offer an
outstanding quality of life for each guest.
Services and amenities provided in the Special Care
Unit include:
- Staff to assist each guest with their activities of daily living
- On-site staff and security system 24 hours a day
- Medical Director and Physician visits on-site
- Wellness program individually planned by staff and family
- Occupational, Physical, Speech, and Respiratory Therapy
- Private and semi-private rooms, which residents can furnish
to provide a familiar setting, with private baths
- Daily housekeeping, bed and bath linen service, and personal
laundry
- Secured courtyard
- Three meals per day planned by a registered dietitian
- Dining room exclusively for these guests
- Activities program specially designed for guests with memory
disorders
- Beauty/Barber salon
- Scheduled Transportation
If the need arises, guests of the Special Care Unit
will have priority to transfer to our Skilled Care Facility.
